Jenalee and Ava played on Hilary's swingset today after running through the sprinklers. Jen and her brother, Jayden have been coming over every Thursday and Friday to play with Ava. Ava loves having friends over, and thankfully, she and Jayden usually end up taking naps so I usually only have 1-2 kids awake to entertain at a time. It's been so much fun to see them together!

50 degrees in June

I've been horrible at keeping up with this blog. YIKES. Where to start? Mike and Mary moved into the Vogel's home along with their two children-Grace and Alena--not sure if I spelled that right. Grace is 4, and Alena is about 9 months old. Grace and Madison have become best buddies, and as such, Ava is a tad lonlier these days. She tries to keep up with them, but at 18 months old-she generally ends up playing alone, and as long as they don't take toys from her she deals with it well.

Speaking of Ava-love of my life-she's so incredible. We think she's going through a growth spurt, as she's sleeping 10-12 hours during the night AND taking 3 hours of naps during the day. Plus, last night at Granny's house she had 3 plates of pasta. THREE! If I wasn't there witnessing it, I wouldn't have believed it. And these weren't baby plates, this was regular plates, full of pasta. It was incredible.

Natalie got married last week. Wednesday, we went through the Salt Lake temple for the endowment, and Thursday, she and Aaron were sealed. After the endowment, we all went to Macaroni Grill for Lunch-it was really good. But towards the end, Dave suddenly went very pale and had a mini heart attack. It was really scary. Thankfully-Aaron's dad was carrying aspirin, and we're pretty sure it saved dad's life. We rushed him to university hospital and were there until about 7 or 8pm. Thursday, the wedding, we showed up for the sealing and it was wonderful. Their sealer was humorous--a perfect fit for Nat and Aaron's personalities. It rained prior to the sealing and so we were armed with ginormous umbrellas, but thankfully didn't need them as the rain stopped before they came out of the temple. Russ Dixon-their photographer is nothing short of AMAZING. and the most personable professional photographer that I've ever met. We met for a luncheon at this really neat Bakery in Salt Lake. The next stop was Red Butte Gardens for the reception--but it was only 4, and the reception didn't start until 6:30. Chris and I decided Ava (and us) needed some down time from this very long day and so we called Scott Pirraglio at the University Marriott, and he helped us get a room for like $60. We stopped there for a bit and crashed-while Ava ran and ran fully loving her first hotel room experience. The reception was lovely. PLUS there were these fellas walking around with 5 different flavors of gelatto and they were never ending and sooooooooo good. well ava would like to read her sesame street book with me so i'll update again.
